I am taller than him by a lot, but at the point of time, I was so busy fighting back tears that I couldn't savour the triumph.
Definitely not triumph of getting marksman.
It's not fair that I get assigned to the lane where the sand bags flopped down at every single movement. It's not because of my assistant. Oh, he's good enough, but the sand bags were so low that my magazine was touching the ground. In the end, I had to hold the rifle with my own strength. How can anyone expect me to shoot even under 6 cm if my right and left arm didn't have as much strength as other people to hold the rifle steady? If only I hadn't been moved from Lane 2 to 12. I scored 1.9 cm in Lane 2. The best I scored in Lane 12 was 10cm.
It's not fair. I don't believe that I didn't even pass. I still can't believe it.
I failed horribly. All five rounds.
I let down my platoon mates. I let down sgt Kaiser. I let down NCC Land.
I wished they would have taken the morning's results instead of the afternoon's. I was so close to getting a marksman for the morning.
