I'm gonna miss Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad when Ezio Auditore de Firenze takes over. Much as I adore Ezio (as in 'he's cool because he assassinates people with all the new types of fighting and stuff'), he doesn't sound like someone I will like. According to the producers, Ezio is a young noble whose family was killed by rivals, and he's the only survivor. He became an assassin because he wants revenge. Underneath it all, his family was killed because they are technically assassins, descended from Altaïr, and the Templars (bitter enemies of the assassins) found out and killed them.
That's just my theory though, about his family being killed because of the never-ending war between assassins and the Templars. Anyway, Altaïr is more...realistic, I guess.
Because in AC2, you can FLY. As in, not using a flying machine, but a gliding machine. Something like a glider. Okay, I know it's cool, but it's...weird. Especially in the 15th century.
Oh, and he uses FIREARMS as well. Did I ever mention my dislike for guns and stuff?
And technically, Ezio is weaponless, except for his hidden blades and throwing knives (short blade), but I don't think the short blade feature can be used in AC2. So he has nothing to fight close combat with.
And it's UNFAIR. After we all get so used to Altaïr. As for Desmond Miles (both Altaïr and Ezio's descendant), he will still be in AC2, but is like, he's in the game so little that it's like he's NOT there. Like, for 85% of the game, it's all Altaïr. So, no joy in him staying.

Plus, the sequel to Assassin's Creed (Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines) can only be played on PSP. The character is still Altaïr, but then I DON'T FREAKIN' HAVE A PSP AND I DON'T HAVE MONEY TO GET ONE EITHER!!
Walao, Ubisoft purposely want earn money one sia...just like the prequel to Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed: Altaïr Chronicles, which can only be played on Nintendo DS.

Okay, after the rant, I STILL WANT AC2. There's a limited edition of it as well.
