For 2 years, I fought continuously.

I must have been tired out by those 2 years, because I barely lasted a month this time. And I already feel like giving up.

Why does everything have to complicate itself? Where did my willpower that supported me for those 2 years go?

Tired of always fighting but not getting anything in return. Tired of always trying, always holding back, fighting back my tears.

If life was to resemble a journey, and if the difficulties and hardship were to resemble a mountain you have to climb, or a muddy swamp you have to cross, or a piranha-infested river you have to swim, does it guarantee you anything after that? A beautiful view, a place of calm and serenely…that’s what everyone thinks. After the suffering comes the accomplished and relieved feeling.

I fought for two years and got nothing in return.

Who knows? At the top of the mountain you climbed, all you see around you is a wasteland, the muddy swamp you just crossed brings you to a rubbish dump, after the piranha-infested river is another crocodile-infested river.

A traveller’s strength wanes after crossing each obstacle. He gets tired. We all need a break some times.

I felt like giving in again today. But because of that, I’ll hold on. Just for a little more.
